      Kingz classic 3.0 Blue

After some rolling I am pretty happy with my classic 3.0: I am 183 cm and 79 kg (40 years old). I ordered an A2, A2L and A3. I ended up with A3 pants and an A2L jacket. Kingz were kind enough, to change the pants to a different size compared to the jacket. With me it's a recurring theme, to get a set where the jacket is good, but the pants are too small. The A2L pants - altough size chart suggested a good fit - were pretty tight and constricting in my opinion (I am rather slim, nor overly muscular, neither lanky). A3 pants are better, but could be even a little bit longer for my taste. I am not into those ultrafited modern Gis, so most of you younger guys who never wore a more comfortable sized Gi, could be ok. Pants in general were a little longer than other brands I tried, which is a plus for me. I really don't like those "capri"-style pants, which barely cover your knee caps (yes, I am looking at you, Scramble!). It is easyier to get pants shortened, than to elongate them, so ... The GI is about 1850g in A2L. In wing span, the jacket shrank about 4-5 cm after two normal washes (30°-40°) which is considerably less than 5%, so don't bank on too much shrinking, if the fit is questionable. I didn't use a dryer though, maybe shrinking could be maximized. In the end I took the jacket to the alteration tailor to get the sleeves shortened an additional 2 cm, but I am ok with that process of fine tuning. The A2-Jacket in comparison to the A2L for me, felt more tight (oddly enough, size chart suggested A2 is 1cm wider in the chest than the A2L) and was a little short. In result, the A2L jacket I kept is comfortable, reasonably light, but seems robust enough to be my goto gear on "work days". Maybe I will add just another classic 3.0 to my rotation. The Gis did have a rather unpleasant "chemical" smell ... but I have experienced that with other manufacturers too (made in Pakistan) I don't know of any BJJ-brands, who have their products made in Europe (?). I do like the design, there are (embroided) crowns on shoulders and back. I removed all the little (sawn on) patches (inside jacket, skirt, pants) and I do appreciate the minimal design. Customer service was top notch and pleasant to deal with, fast and reliable. The Gi arrived within 3 days after I placed my order. Thanks Kingz: good product - good people. Keep up the good work!

great quality, clean and basic cut

love it, good looking gi without unneccessary extras. Although new fabric smell was really synthetic and bad, after two times washing, I’m really happy with it. Recommendation! The white belt is also nice with good quality.

      Classic gi

Needed a second gi and as my first one is Kingz was a no brainier to get another! I like plain and understated style and this fits the bill for both!
